Tomáš Kapusta

Born: February 23rd,1967, Zlín, Czechoslovakia Weight: 185 cm Height: 88 kg Position: center, shoots L Drafted: by Edmonton Oilers, 5th round, 104th overall, in 1985.

Achievements:
bronze medalist at 1993 World Championships, silver in 1985 and 1987 at World Junior Championships, 1st place in Czech Republic Extra League in 1996/97 and 97/98 season with HC Petra Vsetín and in 2003/04 season with HC Hamé Zlín, bronze in Finnish SM League with Assat Pori.

Career:
He started in the Czechoslovakian top league in the 1983/84 season with Gotwaldov, in the late 80s he spent one season in Dukla JIhlava and one season in Dukla Trenčín. In 1989 he moved to USA where he started to play in the AHL for Cape Breton Oilers. In 1992 he went to play in Finland and in the late 90s he returned to the Czech Republic where he won two titles with Vsetín. Around 2000 he once again played overseas: in UHL for Muskegon Fury, in IHL for Cleveland Lumberjacks and in WCHL for Long Beach Ice Dogs. He returned to Czech Republic for his last proffesional season and he won the title with his hometown team of Zlín. Tomas is currently the Riverside-Carlsbad Wildcats AAA and High Performance Director and is considered by his peers to be one of the top Youth Coaches in Southern California. 

JOSEF MARHA #24 CAREER

Josef Marha

Born: June 2nd, 1976, Havlíčkův Brod, Czechoslovakia Height: 183 cm Weight: 87 kg Position: center, shoots L Drafted: in 1994 by Quebec Nordiques in 2nd round, 35th overall.

Achievements:
Swiss NLA Champion in 2001/02, 04/05, 06/07, 08/09, 10/11, AHL Calder Cup Champion 1996/97, Spengler Cup winner in 2001, 04, 06, bronze medalist at 1994 U18 world Championships

Career:
He started with hockey at his home rink in Hradec Králové. In 1992 as a 16 year old junior moves to Dukla Jihlava where he soon plays for the "A" league team. He played 83 games for Dukla and scored 12 goals. As a 19 year old he leaves for the US where he plays not only for AHL teams (Hershey Bears and Norfolk Admirals) but also total of 159 games in NHL´s Colorado Avalanche, Chicago Blackhawks and Anaheim Mighty Ducks. In 2001 he returns to Europe and spends the next 12 seasons in Switzerland. In the Swiss A league he played 531 games for HC Davos. In 2013 he returned back to Czech Republic and signed a contract with HC ČSOB Pardubice. However in November 2013 he became a free agent and was immediately signed by his hometown team Mountfield Hradec Králové. At the end of the season 2013/14 he made a decision to end his career and he said good-bye to his home club in front of the sold-out stadium during a derby game between Hradec and Pardubice on September 14th, 2014.
 

CHICO RESCH #1 CAREER

Chico Resch

Born: July 10th, 1948, Moose Jaw, Saskatchevan Weight: 175 cm Height: 75 kg Position: goalie, shoots L Drafted:  no.

Achievements:
2nd place in WCHL in 1970/71, Stanley Cup winner in 1979/80 with New York Islanders, Bill Masterton Trophy in 1981/82, All-Star team in 1976, 1977, 1984.

Career:
After playing junior hockey he went on to play for University of Minnesota where he was a part of the Bulldpgs hockey team between1968-71. In 1971 his professional career started. After playing in IHL, AHL and CHL he landed in NHL in 1974 for New York Islanders where he won the Stanley Cup in 1979/80 season. After that he spent two seasons in Colorado Rockies where he was awarded the Bill Masterton Trophy. In 1983 he starts playing for New Jersey Devils. He represented two different countries in the Canada Cup - Canada in 1976 and USA in 1984. In 1981 he also played for team USA in the World Championships. In 1986 he moves to Philadephia Flyers where he ends his professional hockey career the following year. He returns to hockey as a coach for Ottawa Senators in 1993-96 and in the following years he works as a New Jersey Devils hockey expert and a commentator for Fox Sports TV station.
